Meet New Friends Over 45 in Vancouver
Want to meet new friends over 45 without the awkward small talk? On Saturday, November 14, Vancouver Social Events hosts New Friends & More 45+ at The Pint Public House in Downtown Vancouver, BC. It’s an afternoon of icebreaker games, cash prizes and real conversation for adults 45 and over. Singles are always welcome.
The event runs from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Tickets are $25 until October 30, then $30 for the final two weeks. Every ticket includes a $10 gift card for The Pint, handed to you at check-in. Use it on food or drinks.
How to Meet New Friends Over 45
If making friends feels harder than it used to, you’re not alone. Careers get busy, kids grow up and old friends move away. There are simply fewer natural places to meet people.
New Friends & More is all about making real friends. It’s for anyone 45 and over who wants to grow their social circle. The “& More” is for singles. If you’re single, it’s also a relaxed way to meet other singles without the pressure of a dating event.
Icebreaker Games and Cash Prizes
If you want to meet new friends over 45, the games make it easy. You won’t be a wallflower here. Every game gives you a reason to talk to someone within minutes of arriving.
- Match Cards: find the person whose card matches yours. You both win a lottery ticket with a chance at $10,000. Then head to The Pint’s beer pong table to play for a free beer.
- Can’t Say No: everyone gets a necklace. Say “no” and you lose all your necklaces to whoever caught you. The guest with the most necklaces wins a gift card.
- Icebreaker Bingo: find people who match the squares on your card. Complete three lines to enter the draw for cash prizes at the end of the afternoon.
See what an afternoon looks like:
It’s a unique way to meet people. At many drop-in meetups you walk in on your own. Regulars often stick with the friends they already know. Here, every game sends you off to meet someone new, so it’s easy to mix with the whole room. The games run all afternoon, so you can join in whenever you arrive. Coming on your own? You’ll fit right in.
That’s what your ticket pays for. $10 comes straight back to you as a gift card for The Pint. On top of that, each of our recent events has given away more than $400 in cash prizes, plus a $50 gift card and scores of lottery tickets.
