How the draw works
Think of it as a hat. Every time you come to an event, your name goes in once. Bring a friend with your invite link, and when they show up, your name goes in two more times. On the 1st of each month we pull one name, and that person gets $50.
- 1 entryfor every event you come to, free or paid, any organizer.
- +2 entriesfor every friend who comes using your personal invite link.
- 1st of the monthone winner is drawn. Your October and November events count toward the first draw on December 1.

Questions
Where do I find my invite link?
Book any event while logged in. Your link then shows up under the share buttons on that event’s page, and it’s also in your booking confirmation email. Send it however you like: WhatsApp, text, email or Facebook.
Does my friend need to do anything special?
They just book through your link and come to the event. Their visit gives them their own entry too, and they get their own link to bring someone else.
What if I book but can’t make it?
Entries only count for people who actually come. Organizers mark no-shows after each event, and a no-show earns no entry. The same goes for friends: they have to show up for you to get the +2.
Is there a limit on entries?
No. Come to as many events as you like and bring as many friends as you like. More entries means better odds, but every entry has the same chance, so anyone with one entry can win.
Who is the “top entrant”?
The person with the most entries in the current draw, shown by first name and last initial. Being on top doesn’t mean you win; it just means you have the most tickets in the hat. If you’d rather not be shown, email us and we’ll hide your name. You stay in the draw either way.
How will I know if I won?
We email the winner after the draw. To claim the prize you answer a short math question (Canadian contest law requires it) and reply within 7 days. We also announce each winner, by first name and last initial, on our Facebook page and in our newsletter.

- Sponsor. The Vancouver Social Events Monthly Draw (the “Draw”) is run by Vancouver Social Events, Vancouver, British Columbia (the “Sponsor”). Questions: draw@vancouversocialevents.com.
- Who can enter. Open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are 19 or older and have a free Vancouver Social Events account. Not eligible: the Sponsor, its staff and their households, and test accounts.
- Draw periods. The first period runs from October 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026, with the draw on December 1, 2026. After that, each period is one calendar month (for example, December 1 to 31), with the draw on the 1st day of the following month.
- How to earn entries. (a) One entry for each event date you book through vancouversocialevents.com and attend. (b) Two additional entries for each different person who books an event date through your personal invite link and attends it. Entries are counted by the event’s date, not the booking date. Guests added to another person’s booking, self-referrals, and bookings marked as no-shows by the organizer do not earn entries. Organizers do not earn entries for attending, or for friends attending, events they host. There is no limit on entries.
- No purchase necessary. Free events earn entries the same way as paid events. You can also get one free entry per draw period, without attending, by emailing draw@vancouversocialevents.com with the subject “Monthly Draw entry” and your full name before the period ends. Limit one emailed entry per person per period.
- The draw. On or about the draw date, one winner is chosen at random from all eligible entries; each entry is one chance. The Sponsor keeps a record of the list of entries and the random result for each draw. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Prize. One prize per draw: $50 CAD, sent by Interac e-Transfer. The Sponsor may occasionally offer a larger prize for a specific period, announced in advance.
- Claiming the prize. The selected entrant will be contacted by email and must, within 7 days, reply and correctly answer, without help, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question. If they cannot be reached, do not reply in time, are not eligible, or answer incorrectly, the prize is forfeited and another entrant may be drawn.
- Publicity and privacy. By taking part, you agree that the winner’s first name and last initial, and the current top entrant’s first name and last initial, may be shown on vancouversocialevents.com, in our newsletter and on our social media. To have your name hidden from the top-entrant display, email draw@vancouversocialevents.com. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy and used only to run the Draw.
- General. Entries obtained through fake accounts, fake bookings or any attempt to game the Draw will be removed. The Sponsor’s decisions on eligibility and entries are final. The Sponsor may change, suspend or cancel the Draw if it cannot run as planned, with notice on this page. This Draw is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Facebook, Meta, WhatsApp or any other platform. Void where prohibited.
