Where to find us
The game runs every Tuesday at The Village Pub, 7725 Champlain Crescent in Vancouver. It’s beside Central Park, just on the Vancouver side of Boundary Road. The pub has a green awning out front.
Try to get there before 5:45 pm. Early arrivals start with 500 bonus chips, and the first hand is dealt at 6:00.

A lot of people find us because they want to learn poker somewhere friendly, without a casino or a cash game. Our table mixes longtime regulars with people still figuring out whether a straight beats a flush, and nobody minds explaining. How the league works
Dragon Poker Vancouver is a free poker league hosted by Vancouver Social Events. A season lasts 13 Tuesdays. Your finishing position each week earns league points, and those points build over the season. The leaders at the end qualify for the Championship Final.
The night’s winner gets a $20 gift card to The Village Pub. At the end of the season, the top three players share $100 in cash from Vancouver Social Events and $65 in gift cards from The Village Pub. To be eligible, RSVP through Vancouver Social Events and play at least six of the 13 weeks. You can check where you stand any time on the live league standings.
The format is No-Limit Hold’em with 15-minute blind levels and no rebuys. Bust out early and you’re not done: a second table keeps running, and you can keep earning season points there.

House rules
No cash changes hands at the table. The Tournament Director has the final say on any dispute. And since The Village Pub hosts us for free, ordering something from their menu is a great way to say thanks.

Is it really free?
Yes. There’s no buy-in, no fee to join the group, and no cash betting. Food and drinks are optional.
I don’t know how to play poker. Can I still come?
Yes. Players at the table will explain Texas Hold’em as you go, and plenty of our regulars started as complete beginners.
What can I win?

Do I have to sign up every week?
Yes. Join the Dragon Poker group once, then RSVP on the event page each week. Weeks without an RSVP don’t earn league points. You can sign up any time until the event ends.
What if I get knocked out early?
Move to the second table. It keeps running, and you can keep earning season points.
